Gottman Institute Conflict Resolution Specialist
Certified Brain Health Professional · Amen University

I have watched families fracture — not from a lack of love, but from a lack of a safe place to land. I founded Casa di Reza because I believe every uncoupling, every custody arrangement, every business dispute deserves more than a battlefield. It deserves a room where people are actually heard.

My work is shaped by the Gottman Institute's conflict resolution methods and brain health principles from Amen University — bringing both the science of how we fight and the science of how we reach agreements that protect what matters most into every session.

With a private practice spanning Utah, San Diego, and New York, I serve families, executives, and business leaders who need a trusted, neutral space to find resolution.

"My deepest hope is that every parent who walks through this process walks out still able to look their child in the eye together — and know they chose resolution over conflict for the people who needed them most."

Ruth brings a background in administrative support, client communication, and project coordination — the organizational backbone that keeps client-facing work running without friction. She has hands-on experience managing schedules, coordinating tasks across teams, and creating a steady, responsive experience for everyone she supports.

At Casa di Reza, she manages intake, coordinates scheduling, and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks between sessions — so every client gets a prompt, organized experience from first contact onward. Her focus on clarity and follow-through means Blue can stay fully present in the room, knowing the details are already handled.

"I believe the best support is invisible — when everything runs smoothly, a client never has to think about how it's happening. They just feel taken care of."

Services

Where I serve

Whether you are navigating the end of a marriage or an executive impasse, every engagement receives the same caliber of care, preparation, and absolute discretion.

01

Family & Divorce

Uncoupling doesn't have to be a war. I create a structured, compassionate space for families to reach fair agreements on assets, living arrangements, and the future — with far less cost and damage than adversarial proceedings.

Core Practice
02

Custody & Co-Parenting

Children deserve stability. I help parents move through the pain of separation toward workable, child-centered parenting plans — arrangements that hold up over time because both parents had a real voice in creating them.

Core Practice
03

Executive & Leadership

When CEOs, founding partners, or HR teams face an impasse, I facilitate private, high-stakes mediation — confidential sessions designed to restore alignment, resolve workplace conflict, and protect what has been built.

Growing Practice
04

Business & Commercial

Partnership disputes, workplace conflict, and HR challenges call for a neutral third party who understands both the human and financial dimensions. Whether it's a startup navigating team dynamics or an established company facing employee disputes, mediation preserves relationships, culture, and productivity — without the cost of litigation.

The Casa di Reza Approach

The soul behind
the practice

Peace

Casa di Reza is not just a name. It is an intention. Every session is held as a space of genuine stillness: no agendas, no winners, no losers. Only the shared work of finding a way forward.

What makes this practice different is the integration of neuroscience. Conflict activates the brain's threat response — which means people in dispute are often operating with a narrowed perception and heightened reactivity. When the prefrontal cortex — the seat of reason and empathy — is offline, lasting resolution becomes nearly impossible without the right conditions. By understanding what is happening in the brain during conflict, we can create the conditions for real resolution rather than forced agreement.

Because uncoupling isn't just legal and financial — your process here holds space for what the body carries through conflict too.

Gottman Method
Research-backed conflict resolution tools developed by the Gottman Institute over 40 years of relational science.
Brain Health
Amen University-certified insights into how brain states affect conflict — and how to shift them toward clarity.
Somatic Awareness
The body holds conflict. Bringing awareness to physical responses helps parties stay present and regulated.
Trauma Informed
Every person at the table arrives with a history. This practice holds that with care, not judgment.

"Research shows the body holds the impact of conflict long after agreements are signed. This practice was built with that in mind."

How It Works

The process

Step 01

Free Consultation

A private 20-minute call to understand your situation and see whether mediation is the right path forward. No obligation.

Step 02

Intake & Preparation

Each party completes a confidential intake. Blue reviews everything and sets the agenda for productive, safe dialogue.

Step 03

Mediation Sessions

Structured sessions — joint and individual, in person or virtual — guide all parties toward real understanding and concrete agreements.

Step 04

Agreement & Closure

A clear written memorandum of agreement is drafted. Where needed, Blue coordinates with legal counsel for ratification.

Questions People Ask

Do I need a mediator?
Start here.

Can you represent me in my case?
No — I am not an attorney and I do not represent either party. What I do is create a structured, neutral space where both sides can be genuinely heard and work toward an agreement together. Using Gottman-informed communication and neuroscience-based insights into how conflict shapes our thinking, I help everyone at the table reach clarity — and agreements they'll actually stand behind.
Do I need an attorney before I come to mediation?
Some clients come to mediation with an attorney, others come without one — both are equally welcome. Either way, mediation lets you shape the outcome together at a fraction of the cost of contested proceedings. Many states require some form of mediation before a family law case can move forward — if you're not sure what applies to you, that's exactly what the first conversation is for.
Is mediation required where I live?
In Utah, yes — mediation is required for all divorces, not just those involving custody. In California, it's required specifically for custody and parenting disputes before most family law cases go to trial. In New York, it's not mandated statewide, though many courts require or strongly encourage it. Either way, the question is whether you approach it on your terms, with someone you chose, or as a box checked at the end of an expensive fight.
Is mediation legally binding?
When both parties reach agreement, it is reduced to a written Memorandum of Understanding and submitted to a judge for approval — by you or your attorney. Once signed by the court, it carries the full weight of a court order. An agreement you built together, on your terms.
What happens to my children?
Every parenting plan built inside this practice is designed with the children at the center — their stability, their voice, their need for both parents to remain capable co-parents, whatever that looks like for your family. Divorce restructures a family. It doesn't have to destroy one.
How much does mediation cost?
Mediation is often significantly more efficient than litigation — typically less costly and less time-consuming, with far less emotional toll on everyone involved. Every situation is different. Reach out for a complimentary consultation and we will find the right path forward together.
